At Good360, we are continually inspired by the incredible network of nonprofits we partner with. Every day, we witness the unwavering dedication of individuals who see a need in their community and take action. These local heroes are the heart of our mission, transforming essential goods into hope and tangible change. Among these inspiring figures is Neauman, a Vietnam-era Army veteran whose story is a powerful testament to resilience, service, and the profound impact one person can have. His nonprofit, Round the Globe Services, is a lifeline for veterans experiencing homelessness, and his journey reminds us why we do what we do.
From Personal Struggle to a Lifelong Mission
Neauman’s path to becoming a beacon of hope for veterans was forged in his own hardship. After serving in the military, he faced immense personal challenges, including substance abuse and homelessness. “I went from homeless veteran to homeowner,” he shares, a simple statement that carries the weight of a difficult but triumphant journey. This lived experience became the bedrock of his calling. He understands the mistrust and despair that many veterans feel, which allows him to connect with them on a level that few others can.
The idea for Round the Globe Services was sparked by his own frustrating, eight-year battle to get his VA claim approved. The experience left him with a resolve: no other veteran should have to fight so long and hard for the benefits they earned. He began helping fellow veterans navigate the complex VA system, initially meeting them in coffee shops that served as his office. This grassroots effort grew into Round the Globe Services, a nonprofit dedicated to comprehensive veteran support.
“I went through homelessness myself. I went through the VA up to two or three of their programs multiple times… It took me a minute to get it together. And that actually helps me and promotes me to help other veterans.”
More Than Goods: Building a Foundation for a New Life
Through his organization, Neauman provides far more than just the basics. While the essential goods he distributes—many sourced through Good360—are critical, his work extends much deeper. At outreach events on Skid Row and in other Southern California communities, he provides hygiene kits, clothing, shoes, and first-aid kits. These items offer immediate comfort and dignity.
However, the true transformation happens when he connects veterans with life-changing resources. Neauman is a skilled navigator of the VA system, helping veterans file for compensation that provides them with financial stability. A 100% compensation claim can mean nearly $4,000 a month, tax-free—enough to secure housing, support a family, and build a future. “It can change their whole family’s life,” Neauman explains. He also guides them to programs like VASH (Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing), which offers affordable housing vouchers and a path off the streets.
His approach is holistic, addressing the root causes of instability. For veterans struggling with addiction, he provides referrals and support, knowing that sobriety is a crucial first step. He emphasizes the critical role of mental and emotional wellness, ensuring veterans are equipped to manage newfound financial stability.

“I am just a vehicle. It’s only through grace that I was able to even help you.”
A Story of Life-Changing Impact
The success of Neauman’s work is measured in the lives he has touched. He speaks of a veteran who came to him after leaving prison, homeless and without hope. Neauman helped him secure his VA benefits, which included a significant back payment. He then connected him with a credit repair service. Today, that veteran is a homeowner, and his family is back together. “He calls me often,” Neauman says, “and he just says one word: ‘life-changing.’ That’s it. That’s all he says.”
These stories are not uncommon. Veterans who once felt invisible are now able to send their children to college, repair relationships, and reclaim their futures. Neauman is quick to remind them, and himself, that these benefits are not a handout.
“It’s not a handout. We earned this. Whether you went to combat or not, your job protected people while they slept. So yeah, you’ve earned this.”
A Guiding Principle: Leave No One Behind
When asked to summarize his work, Neauman offers a motto that is both a military ethos and a personal creed. It’s the driving force behind every claim he files and every outreach event he organizes.
“My mission is to leave no one behind.”
Neauman’s story is a powerful example of the ripple effect of compassion. It demonstrates how one person’s dedication, fueled by personal experience and a desire to serve, can create waves of positive change. At Good360, we are honored to support partners like Neauman, who are on the front lines turning donations into destinies.
His work is a call to action for all of us. He wishes more people would approach veterans with compassion and understanding, recognizing the invisible battles many continue to fight long after their service ends. You can be part of this mission. Support nonprofits like Round the Globe Services, volunteer in your community, or simply take a moment to thank a veteran for their service. Together, we can help carry forward the promise to leave no one behind.
