Falmouth, Jamaica (May 15, 2026) — Six months after Hurricane Melissa devastated communities across Jamaica, 350 students at Falmouth Primary School received new school supplies and Disney books, thanks to a collaboration between Good360 and Disney Cruise Line, whose ships have called at nearby Falmouth Port for more than a decade.

For Falmouth Primary School students, access to basic school supplies is more than a convenience. It is a critical step toward continuity of learning and a sense of normalcy in the aftermath of the storm. Each student received a backpack stocked with notebooks, crayons, pens, rulers, glue sticks, maps, fidget spinners, and socks. Many of these items were in short supply due to storm damage, and many families have not been able to afford replacements.

Disney Cruise Line’s long-standing presence in Falmouth made this initiative a natural extension of its commitment to the surrounding community. In addition to the backpack distribution, volunteers from Disney Cruise Line read to classrooms throughout the day.

“Calling on Falmouth for more than 10 years, it is important to us that we support the community in meaningful ways,” said Beth Thibodaux, director of external affairs for Disney Cruise Line. “Working with Good360 allows us to help meet the needs of children and families, while also bringing a bit of optimism and joy when it is needed most. We are proud to support efforts that help students continue learning and reach their fullest potential.”

This visit is part of an ongoing relationship between Good360 and Disney Cruise Line to connect much-needed goods with children and families experiencing disaster and hardship. Following Hurricane Melissa, The Walt Disney Company donated $1 million to relief efforts, including support to Good360 to deliver urgent assistance to impacted communities across Jamaica. To date, Good360 has distributed over $500,000 worth of critical supplies, including generators, hygiene kits, outdoor gear, toys, and essential household items. With hurricane season beginning in June 2026, Good360 continues to deliver targeted support and preparation supplies so communities are ready before the next storm arrives.
