One year after Hurricane Helene devastated communities across Western North Carolina, hundreds of residents gathered in Burnsville for the Carolina Mountain Strong event — a day dedicated to reflection, gratitude, and continued recovery.

Hosted in partnership with local organizations, the event brought together families, volunteers, and first responders who have been on the frontlines of rebuilding since the storm. In a region where recovery continues long after headlines fade, the gathering served as both a milestone and a reminder that long-term recovery is still underway.
Good360 was honored to support local partners, including Rebuilding Hollers and Mercy Chefs, in providing resources and recognition for families and first responders still rebuilding after the storm. More than 1,500 community members and 500 first responders received household items, hygiene products, and small appliances, while Mercy Chefs served hot meals to attendees.

Beyond the distribution of goods, Carolina Mountain Strong reflected the resilience of Western North Carolina and the importance of sustained partnership in disaster recovery efforts.
