Alexandria, VA – Good360, the global leader in product philanthropy and purposeful giving, is mobilizing an emergency relief response after two powerful earthquakes struck northern Venezuela on June 24, devastating communities across La Guaira, Caracas, and beyond. At least 589 people have been killed, nearly 3,000 injured, and more than 46,000 remain unaccounted for as search and rescue efforts continue.

Good360’s Response

Good360 is mobilizing and coordinating closely with nonprofit partners and humanitarian stakeholders across the region to understand what communities need most to ensure no critical need goes unmet.

Good360 is preparing to deploy shipments of essential supplies, including hygiene and sanitation kits, emergency supplies, muck and gut kits, and power supplies, to nonprofit partners working in Venezuela.

Anticipated Humanitarian Needs

Good360 has identified the following priority needs in the immediate aftermath of the disaster:

Search-and-rescue equipment; trauma and emergency medical supplies; safe drinking water; temporary shelter materials; food assistance; power and communications equipment; sanitation and hygiene supplies; and child-focused relief items including nutrition, protection, and psychosocial support materials.

As rescue and relief operations transition into recovery, needs are expected to expand to include housing repair and reconstruction, restoration of healthcare services, livelihood and agricultural recovery, and continued support for vulnerable populations including children, older persons, and people with disabilities.
