Alexandria, VA (January 30, 2026) – As a prolonged Arctic outbreak and major winter storm continue to cause widespread power outages and life safety risks across the central, southern, and eastern United States, Good360 has activated its disaster response efforts to support communities facing extreme cold and extended utility disruptions.

Good360 is working closely with its nonprofit partners across multiple affected states to address urgent needs created by the storm’s aftermath, including loss of heat, prolonged outages, and hazardous conditions. To date, Good360 has procured and provided essential donated goods to organizations on the front lines of the response, including:

  • Virginia: Supplying critical items to Carpenter Shelter to support individuals experiencing homelessness during the extreme cold.
  • North Carolina: Partnering with Rise Disaster Relief and Recovery to deliver generators and supporting Mission Christmas in providing snowblowers to communities previously impacted by Hurricane Helene and now facing new storm impacts.
  • New York: Distributing heaters to World of Giving ahead of the storm, enabling heating support for individuals in Orange County.
  • Texas: Partnering with United Rescue Alliance to provide hygiene kits and blankets to communities previously impacted by the July 4 floods, now facing compounding challenges due to severe winter weather.

In North Carolina, where many rural communities are still recovering from Hurricane Helene, winter weather has compounded existing challenges. One local partner shared how donated equipment is already making a critical difference: Good360 is currently responding in several states, including processing additional shipments of generators, heaters, blankets, and other cold-weather supplies to further support partners responding to extended outages, heating needs, and ongoing recovery operations.

“Communities recovering from previous disasters are often the most at risk when severe weather strikes again – their resources are stretched, their infrastructure is fragile, and the path to recovery is already long,” said Cinira Baldi, CEO, Good360. “We are committed to ensuring that households still rebuilding from past events receive the critical support they need during this dangerous winter storm. Our focus is on delivering the right resources to help these communities stay safe and continue moving forward.”

Good360 closely tracks severe weather and emerging threats through insights provided by AccuWeather, the organization’s official weather partner. AccuWeather’s forecasting and impact analysis have played a critical role in helping Good360’s disaster response team monitor storm progression, anticipate community level impacts, and position essential goods ahead of the most dangerous conditions.

Good360 will continue monitoring conditions and coordinating with partners to anticipate additional needs and scale support as required.
