“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” –Helen Keller
Nonprofit profit organizations (NPOs) are the heartbeat of our communities, serving as pillars of support, compassion, and resilience. They address critical social issues, from hunger and homelessness to disaster relief and education, often with limited resources.
At Good360, we think a lot about how to empower NPOs to do more, to reach further, and to impact lives more deeply. Through our donation programs and partnerships with corporate donors, we are constantly seeking to amplify the impact of nonprofits, giving them access to critically needed goods so they can better serve their communities.
Celebrating the impact of nonprofits
Nonprofits are the unsung heroes of our society. They work behind the scenes, often in the most challenging conditions, to provide essential services to those who need them most. Whether it’s offering shelter to the homeless, lifting up families in poverty, or helping communities get back on their feet after a disaster, these organizations are there on the ground, making a difference every day.
Santa Claus Inc., a Good360 nonprofit partner based in Riverside, CA, is one shining example. With help from Toys for Tots and Good360, the organization hosted “Unplug and Play” events, where toys were distributed to approximately 1,500 children, bringing joy and hope to families in need. Toys are among the top 5 most requested items at Good360—not just around the holidays, but all year long. That’s because play is an essential part of childhood development. NPOs and donor companies that provide toys are helping to improve the physical and mental health of children and, by extension, those of their families too.
“Good360 has been instrumental in helping us bring joy to thousands of children. Their support has allowed us to expand our reach and make a bigger impact than we ever thought possible,” said a staff member at Santa Claus Inc.
NPOs also play an essential role in disaster recovery. After the devastating wildfires in Maui, Good360 quickly mobilized to send over $1 million worth of safety gear and personal protective equipment (PPE) to the island. Collaborating with nonprofits such as the Moore Wright Group and Global Empowerment Mission, Good360 helped to distribute much-needed home goods and essentials to wildfire survivors, aiding them in the process of rebuilding their lives.
These stories highlight the power of collaboration and the significant impact that well-supported nonprofits can have.
How Good360 empowers nonprofits
Good360 is more than just a facilitator of donations; we are a critical partner that empowers nonprofits by providing essential resources, capacity-building support, and strategic partnerships that amplify their impact. We do this by working closely with corporate donors that are among the most well-known and respected companies in the world, and creating an easy way for them to get critical goods directly into the hands of NPOs.
Good360 bridges the gap between companies with excess inventory and nonprofits in need of those goods. By distributing over $3 billion worth of donated goods in 2023 alone, Good360 has touched the lives of more than 26 million people. Our organization’s ability to divert 156 million pounds of goods from landfills ensures that these products find a new life in the hands of those who truly need them, rather than contributing to waste. This not only helps nonprofits save on costs but also allows them to provide their communities with high-quality goods that they otherwise might not have access to.
Capacity building
Supporting nonprofits goes beyond providing goods. Good360 understands the importance of helping these organizations strengthen their operations and increase their capacity to serve. Through various programs, such as the Direct Truckload Program and Retail Match Program, Good360 helps nonprofits access large quantities of donated goods that are essential for their operations and programming. This not only boosts the ability of these organizations to serve more people but also enhances their efficiency and effectiveness in meeting community needs.
Strategic partnerships
Good360’s impact is magnified through its strategic partnerships with corporate donors and other organizations. By working with major corporate donors such as Amazon, Nike and Walmart, Good360 ensures that NPOs receive the right goods at the right time. These partnerships also allow nonprofits to leverage the logistics and resources of large companies, which are not easily available to most nonprofits.
For example, our Direct Truckload Program delivers hope by the ton—literally. Under this donation program, NPOs can access semi-truckloads of donated product, delivered to them directly from corporate donors. Not only does this provide donations to nonprofits at scale, it’s also a more sustainable way to get goods to communities in need. Pound by pound, it’s one of the most impactful ways we can help NPOs do more and grow their impact.
