Alison DeCourcey has been a transformational leader in the social sector for 25+ years, with a deep commitment to mission-driven organizations that create a just world where all can thrive. 

In April 2024, Alison became Chief Development Officer at Good360, the 2nd largest nonprofit on the Forbes list of “America’s Top Charities.” With a mission to close the need gap for vulnerable populations facing crises or disasters, Good360 focuses on connecting businesses with the nonprofit sector to ensure that excess goods are directed to those in need, benefiting both people and the planet. Alison is responsible for creating, leading, and implementing a comprehensive product development and fundraising strategy across an ecosystem of partners – corporations, private and corporate foundations, like-minded organizations, and government – while driving Good360’s visibility, impact, strategic partnerships, and financial resources 

Before that, Alison served seven year as the President & CEO at United Community, the community-based nonprofit in Alexandria – Fairfax, Virginia. United Community, the anchor agency for human services in the region, offers comprehensive programs and services for vulnerable children, youth, and families, that lift community voice, with a vision to End Multigenerational Poverty. Alison grew the organization from a $4m annual operating budget, 40 employees, serving ~10,000 individuals annually in 2017 to a $8.5M budget, 70+ employees, serving ~20,000 individuals (40% children). Alison was responsible for the agency’s new strategy and execution, working with board, staff, government, community leaders, and residents to elevate the impact in the community, aspiring to end multigenerational poverty. 

Prior to her work at United Community, Alison held a variety of executive positions with the global consulting firm, Ernst & Young (EY). She served as Global Director of Operations (COO-like role) for the firm’s Strategic Growth Markets (entrepreneurship) practice and Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences practices, with offices in Washington, DC, Boston, NY/NJ, and London, England. Her responsibilities throughout her EY career spanned the spectrum, from setting, operationalizing, and achieving strategic priorities to business development, to planning and directing global business and financial operations. Alison began her career as a policy analyst in EY’s National Health Care Practice/think tank. 

Alison’s background also includes heading her own consulting firm, ZoomLens Consulting, where she provided strategic planning, fundraising, and communication services to a range of organizations, from local nonprofits to global companies, as well as serving as the inaugural Director of Development at Carpenter’s Shelter and Doorways for Women and Children, two award-winning nonprofits based in Northern Virginia.
