Situation Overview
On May 16, devastating tornadoes swept through Kentucky, Missouri, and Virginia, claiming at least 28 lives and injuring over 100 people. Thousands of homes and structures—over 1,300 in Kentucky and 5,000 in Missouri—were damaged or destroyed. State of Emergency declarations have been issued as communities begin the long road to recovery, all while bracing for more severe weather.
