Astegos has been serving those in need throughout the greater Boise area since 2017, providing housing and transportation solutions as well as essential goods to underprivileged communities. After partnering with Good360 in 2022, Astegos was able to open a sizeable warehouse space stocked with important items for schools, churches, and nonprofits.
One such school, Lewis & Clark Elementary, was excited to host a toy distribution event with help from Astegos volunteers and a generous donation of over 1,000 toys from Toys for Tots on May 22, 2024 – proving the organization is more than just a Christmastime charity. With help
from school staff, the library was turned into a toy store that would be the final stop on the students’ annual Field Day. “
This has just been a tremendous day for our kids,” one teacher said. “They already love Field Day, and thanks to Astegos and Toys for Tots, they have even more to be happy about today.”
Every child in attendance chose three new toys from the large selection, and their patience and gratitude ensured the process went very smoothly – some even helped pass out toys to their classmates.
