Astegos is a nonprofit organization in Idaho dedicated to assisting underserved individuals and families in the Boise area through various outreach and warehouse programs. By partnering with Good360, Astegos has expanded its support to include essential goods, housing, and
transportation for schools, churches, and other nonprofits throughout the region.
On May 29, 2024, Astegos teamed up with Toys for Tots to host the very last field day before the closure of Greenhurst Elementary School. Declining enrollment and budgetary imbalances led the district’s decision to close four schools in Nampa ahead of the next school year, and both students and staff had mixed emotions on this bittersweet day.
However, thanks to a large donation of brand-new toys for Toys for Tots, Greenhurst’s cafeteria was filled with a wide selection of toys, ready for the children to explore and select. The event, marked by an atmosphere of excitement and laughter, created cherished memories that would last far beyond the school’s final days. Wearing his favorite Spiderman shirt, one little boy was overjoyed to see a Spiderman playset among the choices. “It’s just like my shirt! You are the best,” he said
