Astegos, a dedicated nonprofit based in Idaho, strives to support underserved individuals and families in the Boise area through a variety of outreach and warehouse programs. Because they collaborated with Good360, Astegos has been able to extend its services to provide essential goods, housing, and transportation services to schools, churches, and other nonprofits across the region.
Thanks to a donation from Toys for Tots, Astegos marked Ross Elementary School’s last day of school with a toy distribution event on May 30, 2024. Part of the school’s Unplug and Play initiative, the event consisted of every student choosing three brand new toys from the large selection set up in the cafeteria, reinforcing Toys for Tots’ message that even though school is out, play is still in.
The event was a great success, thanks in part to the assistance of all the volunteers, which included a Marine and his family who brought tremendous warmth and enthusiasm to the occasion. “My brother is a Marine, too!” said one excited child. “I can’t wait to tell him I met another Marine and got new toys.”
