The non-profit Taylor Made Re-Entry, who focuses on re-entry for incarcerated individuals, partnered with Storehouse Community Resources to host an annual kickball event for families who have been impacted by a relative’s incarceration. One small yet powerful moment highlighted the profound support because of their partnership with Good360. Among the attendees was a little girl clutching a new pair of shoes, her first pair in years. Her father is currently incarcerated, and with her mother facing daily challenges to make ends meet, this new pair of shoes became more than just footwear; it was a symbol of hope and the possibility of a fresh start.

Her mother described the support with emotion, sharing that, for her daughter, the shoes represented a rare moment of joy and confidence as she prepared for the new school year. For families affected by incarceration, small gestures can mean the world, providing a sense of dignity and care at a time when they often feel unseen and unsupported.

Despite the rain, the kickball event was a tremendous success, not just because supplies were given away, but because a community came together to support each other through fun, food, and the things children and families need to thrive.
