Our Impact

We have been active in both response and recovery. Funding from American Eagle Outfitters and the Center for Disaster Philanthropy ensured we were able to continue work despite incredible logistics challenges. CDP supported our pre-stage warehouse in Jacksonville, Florida, making it possible to receive, sort, ship, and distribute over $9.7 million worth of critically needed goods.

In conjunction with Maersk, the UPS Foundation, Coyote Logistics, Lift Nonprofit Logistics, and the Kale Foundation, we transported more than 440 pallets of donated relief goods to the region. The goods included clothing, bedding, diapers, wipes, food, KIND bars, first aid kits, hygiene care, feminine care items, tents, and solar-powered lights.

These donations were generously donated by Amazon, Levi’s, Hello Bello, Nice-Pak, KIND, CVS Health, AmerisourceBergen, Cora, LuminAID, Coyuchi, Sew Purposeful, and two of our nonprofit partners Hands in Service and the United Way of Lee County.

The long-term recovery of this disaster will take years as homes, buildings, schools, and hospitals all need to be rebuilt. Please consider donating today to help us keep the recovery efforts going.

Disaster Recovery Phase

01

Pre-Disaster

We work to pre-position goods so responding partners on the ground have the goods they need to respond quickly.

02

Clean-Up

From cleaning up debris to mold remediation supplies, we help provide the right goods to the groups helping to pick up the pieces after a disaster.

03

Rebuild

When homes are being rebuilt, we work to provide insulation, flooring, and other re-homing materials.

04

Refurnish

We help turn a house into a home by providing new furniture, appliances, home goods, and more.

05

Relive

Once the community is rebuilt you must relive. We help provide new clothing, toys, school supplies, and more to disaster impacted communities.
