Our Impact

Working in collaboration with our partners at the Florida State EOC and Florida VOAD, we were able to distribute critically needed goods to close local need gaps after the storm. A cohort made up of Good360, Disaster Relief by Amazon, Volunteer Florida, and Adventist Community Services stood up critically needed warehouse operations for multi-agency use in the hard-hit areas of Ft. Myers and Coral Springs. These efforts allowed donated goods to be received, stored, and distributed from centrally managed locations.

We continue to work with Volunteer Florida an Florida VOAD to ensure effective clean-up and long-term recovery. Through these partnerships, we are able to ground-truth where the greatest level of need is, avoid the duplication of efforts, and ensure that we are contributing to a holistic approach to recovery.

To date, we have distributed more than $1.3 million worth of donated goods to nonprofit partners support Hurricane Ian recovery efforts. With support from the Suncoast Fund of the Sarasota County Community Foundation, we are committed to continuing our support throughout the repair, rebuild, and rehome process through 2024 with long-term recovery groups in Desota, Manatee, and Sarasota Counties.
