04 Jun PRESS RELEASE: Good360 Launches 2019 Circle of Good Awards at Sustainable Brands Conference
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (Detroit, MI, June 4, 2019) – Good360, the global leader in product philanthropy and purposeful giving, today announced key recipients of its 2019 Circle of Good Awards at the Sustainable Brands flagship conference held June 3 – 6 in Detroit. The companies receiving the awards are recognized for their alignment with Good360’s mission of transforming the lives of those in need, including survivors of disasters, through the distribution of critically needed goods.
With a focus on sustainability and the circular economy, Good360 partners with socially responsible companies to keep overstocked, returned and seasonal products out of landfills and to give those items a second life in the hands of people in need.
“Good360 provides a number of opportunities for companies to give thoughtfully and with a focus on delivering the most impact, and the Circle of Good Award recipients have come through for us again and again,” said Shari Rudolph, Chief Marketing Officer of Good360, who presented the awards to seven companies. “We are fortunate to work with outstanding corporations that support our mission and give generously so we can continue to serve our diverse base of nonprofit partners with critically needed goods.”
The following corporate partners received Circle of Good Awards:
UPS
Through a long-standing partnership with Good360, The UPS Foundation has provided a combination of cash grants and in-kind shipping support, enabling Good360 to focus on holistic, long-term disaster recovery. UPS is a founding member of the Good360 Disaster Recovery Council and a supporter of Resilient Response initiative, helping champion a necessary shift in disaster giving.
Walmart
For a number of years, Walmart and Good360 have collaborated in numerous ways to distribute a wide variety of critically needed goods to people facing challenging life circumstances, including survivors of disasters. Maintaining an eye on supporting local communities, this collaboration also aligns with key Walmart sustainability initiatives such as Project Gigaton.
CVS Health
CVS Health is a long-time partner of Good360, and we have received charitable support through the CVS Health Foundation. In addition, the company has provided significant in-kind donations to support those in need, including survivors of disasters. CVS Health is also a founding member of the Good360 Disaster Recovery Council and launched a program to divert unsold CVS Store Brand products from landfills.
Dow
Dow has supported Good360’s disaster recovery mission through both cash and in-kind donations, including nearly 70 trailers that were repurposed to provide homes to survivors of Hurricane Harvey. Dow has also been an important connector to their business partners who make goods that can be used in long-term disaster recovery.
The Estée Lauder Companies
Sustainability and citizenship have long been central to how The Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) and its brands have operated. The company has a legacy of supporting people and communities in need through product donations. Since ELC began its partnership with Good360 in 2017, thousands of women and girls have received skincare and beauty products, helping to increase their self-confidence and dignity.
HP
Supporting its commitment to create positive lasting change for our planet, people and communities, HP has partnered with Good360 in several ways, including: ongoing distribution of high-grade copy paper for schools, a program designed to put scientific calculators into the hands of students, and the distribution of printers and other technology to support underrepresented and marginalized populations.
Target
Target has been able to support both Good360’s disaster and non-disaster in-kind giving initiatives with a diverse set of products. The company puts the needs of people, communities and the planet at the heart of their work today in order to help build a better tomorrow. For more than 35 years, Good360 has built its relationships with its corporate partners on a foundation of mutualism – working to make the business of product donations truly a win-win-win-win proposition by building programs that benefit nonprofits, individuals, the environment and our corporate donors.
Good360 will present additional Circle of Good Awards throughout the year.
