Alianza de Futbol Launches Alianza Contigo to Support Hispanic Families Around the Country

Alianza de Futbol has been supporting Hispanic communities, for 16 years, by providing free and low-cost soccer events to millions of families and players throughout the United States. Despite the 2020 tour being sidelined in response to the Coronavirus, Alianza de Futbol continues its dedication to the Hispanic community by launching Alianza Contigo, a 10-city tour in which food and household items will be distributed to those who need it most.

Alianza Contigo is replacing the annual Alianza de Futbol soccer tour for 2020, which has been in operation since the 2004 launch. The events will be a touchless experience allowing families to drive-thru and receive food and products in a safe environment. Food will be provided by the Allstate Sueño Alianza Food Pantry, and household items and other important products will be supplied by the Verizon Copa Alianza Household Pantry.

“We have always been futbol for the people; even though we cannot provide our tournaments this year there is still the fellowship that unites us, and we are fully dedicated to supporting our community,” said Joaquin Escoto, Managing Partner of BRC Group, owner of Alianza de Futbol. “We are thankful to our partners, Allstate, Verizon, Gatorade, and TUDN for their support of this initiative during this difficult time.”

Alianza Contigo has partnered with nonprofit Good360, the global leader in product philanthropy and purposeful giving, who will provide goods such as toys, clothes, household and other items that have been donated to them, and Feeding America® food banks including the following: St Mary’s Food Bank (Phoenix), El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank (El Paso), North Texas Food Bank (Dallas), Houston Food Bank (Houston), Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina (Charlotte), Northern Illinois Food Bank (Geneva, IL- Chicago Suburbs), Food Bank of the Rockies (Denver), Food Bank for New York City (New York), Second Harvest (San Jose), Feeding America Riverside | San Bernardino (Los Angeles).
