Walmart Donation Brings Holiday Cheer to Family Shelter

Women of Good Works (WOGW) provides temporary or ongoing assistance to individuals or families through our two-phased mission/vision capacity-building resources.  WOGW focuses on community projects such as moneyless markets for clothing, food and household items.

We received a donation from Good360 and Walmart that included household items, clothing, toys, personal items and electronics.  We distributed the goods at a holiday party for the Katherine Hanley Family Shelter. This donation, along with our capacity-building resources, are in keeping with our core values of dignity, resilience and empowerment.

We are thankful to Good360 and Walmart for helping us provide encouragement and hope during the holiday season.  The families and children we serve are experiencing life challenges and are in dire need of essential items.  This donation helped to meet those needs and allowed us to spread love and gifts at Christmastime.  We are so grateful and humbled by the open doors that have been available to us this year!  The smiles and faces of the children were worth all the hard work each of us did to put the party together
