As an official Good360 Community Redistribution Partner, Role Models of America serves as a regional hub for products and serves a network of vetted and qualified nonprofit members in the Greater Houston area. One of Role Models of America’s, nonprofit partner is ASATT Church based in Houston. Thanks to a donation from Role Models of America, Good360 and Toys for Tots, ASATT Church was able to distribute approximately 75 toys to the children of first responders and frontline workers.

The initiative was organized by Yvonne Vo, a registered nurse at the Houston Methodist Hospital. As of June 20, 2020, Harris County (which includes Houston) has more than 18K cases of COVID-19. Frontline workers and first responders have been working overtime acting in response to the COVID-19 pandemic many leaving young ones at home in the care of family and friends. Yvonne wanted to do something to bring some much-needed cheer to her colleagues and community.

Recipients were overwhelmed with the gesture. Ana said, “Thank you so much! My little boy’s favorite were the balls. He loved it so much that he fell asleep with it in his arms!”

Another worker, Mirian commented, “My kids loved everything. They could not stop playing with the toys and each other. Thank you so much for thinking of us.”
