Toys Provide Comfort Amid COVID-19 Uncertainty

  • Donor: Toys for Tots
  • Lives Impacted: 80+

As a result of COVID-19, many people are self-quarantined because they are immune suppressed and are extra vulnerable to the virus. Ryan has a life-threatening condition called Glycogen storage disease which is caused by enzyme deficiencies. Both of his parents are veterans and cannot afford new toys during this period of isolation.

Manasota Operation Troop Support was able to provide brand new trucks, Legos, and toys to military families across Manatee and Sarasota County in Florida, including Ryan’s. The nonprofit organization supports local military troops and their families before, during and after deployment. “Reaching out to our veteran community with the Good360 and Toys for Tots donation is a tangible way to show our military families that they are never forgotten,” said Linda Craig, Executive Director, Manasota Operation Troop Support.
