As Told to Good360 by Green Oak Ranch Ministries

Green Oak Ranch, located in Vista, CA is religious organization, striving to reflect love to all who come through our gates. We serve churches, community groups, businesses, families and individuals from throughout Southern California through our two complementary programs; the Green Oak Ranch Retreat and the Green Oak Ranch Residential Recovery Program. We host events and group session at the Ranch that are open to all in the communityno matter their religious background, race, orientation or financial income.

Thanks to this donation we were able to set up our own magical gift center at the ranch, where our residents in recovery came to choose items for their children and grandchildren. We helped wrap presents and provided cards so that our residents would be able to give Christmas gifts to their children. Many of the residents want to give back to their families and make better memories, so this is a great way to

Most of our residents are recovering from years of addiction, and for many, restoring a relationship with their children and families is a huge motivator for recovery. When our residents show up for their families on Christmas morning, sober, with gifts for their kids, they are able to make huge strides towards the restoration of their families. One resident in particular exclaimed, “I am going to be the good aunt this year!”. Stories like this inspire us to continue with our mission in helping residents grow and prove to themselves they are capable of anything! Thank you Good360 for helping us give these families a second chance
