As Told to Good360 by Somebody Loves Me Inc

Somebody Loves Me, Inc. is located in Northeast Tennessee and provides clothing, shoes and personal items to children in need in eight counties.  Our organization is driven by a single goal: to do our part in making the world a better place for all.

We have provided over 21% of children enrolled in schools in the eight-county region of Northeast Tennessee with clothing, shoes and personal need items. We have also provided air mattresses and toiletries to our homeless population.

Thanks to this donation, we helped victims of a house fire with replacing appliances, and provided children at the poverty level shoes, clothing and personal items. When children’s essential needs such as shoes and clothing are not met, this can have a direct negative impact on their school success. Providing them with clean, new clothing and shoes to boosts their self-esteem.

One recipient, a 15yearold girl, was referred to us through a court order to participate in a basketball youth program to prevent her from getting into even more trouble. Her shoes were old and worn out and the other children made fun of her. She was so insecure about her shoes that she did not want to return to the program. We were able to give her a brand-new pair of hightop sneakers and she felt confident enough to return to the program. Thank you Good360, for giving the children and families in our community their confidence back!
