As Told to Good360 by Curt’s Closet

Curt’s Closet is a nonprofit that equips children and teens with new and gently used items so they can experience a new confidence, gain a sense of self-worth, and see their endless potential in God, so they may accomplish anything in life.

Good360 arranged for Red Wing boots to be donated to Curt’s Closet. This donation not only allows the recipients to have new boots for school, but also gives them a new sense of self-confidence because it helps stop the bullying that these children endure daily.

Curt’s Closet was contacted by a teacher at a local school about a homeless student and his mother who fled an abusive situation. His current boots were held together with duct tape and they weren’t the correct size. We were able to deliver boots in his size to his teacher. After trying on the new Red Wing boots, he stated that he had never had a pair of shoes that fit so well in his life. The teacher sent a picture to Curt’s Closet of the young man in his new Red Wings. The smile on his face is absolutely priceless.
