Step One Recovery Facility Now Feels Like A Home

DONATION: TUESDAY MORNING HOME GOODS

LIVES IMPACTED: 300+

At Step One Recovery, in Phoenix, AZ, our mission is to introduce a twelve-step based program to a newly sober individual in a clean, safe environment. People rarely quit abusing drugs and alcohol without getting the proper care and support. Furthermore, many people cannot afford to go into a rehab facility. There is where Step One comes in.

The Tuesday Morning store that we have partnered with has been absolutely wonderful. Their manager, Priscilla, has been great at working with our schedules. She had made pickup of donations a breeze. We have received various household and decorative items which have all been used in our facilities to give our clients a sense of belonging. We try to treat everyone like family here and these items have helped make our facility feel like a home. This also helps comfort our clients in this transition period in their lives.

Our ultimate goal is to reunite these individuals with their families. All of the donations really go a long way towards helping us with that goal. One of the recipients, Trina, said, “The donations received from Tuesday Morning have been very helpful in bridging the gap between our family’s needs and income. We are very grateful.”
