Sock Donation from Bombas Offers Dignity to Those Recovering from Strokes and Brain Injuries

The Saint Francis Foundation, located in Hartford, CT, operates exclusively to advance the charitable, scientific and educational purposes of Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital and Johnson Memorial Hospital through relationship building, community visibility and fund raising.  Our rehabilitation hospital helps patients recover from strokes, traumatic brain injuries and falls so they may resume their lives.

Many of our patients do not have socks or sneakers to participate in this vital therapy. Our partnership with Bombas through Good360 has been supporting us for three years and we are thrilled they are helping us take care of our patients.

Our mission is to return people to the condition they were in before their accident or stroke and help them maintain their dignity. We are a community hospital and many patients are under- or uninsured so it falls to us to help them and we cannot do that alone. Health Insurance doesn’t pay for socks and sneakers so providing these socks empowers our patients to work hard and gives them a sense that they are not alone in their journey.

Every patient that receives a pair of socks is greatly affected by these donations – it is a lifeline to their progress.  Thank you to Bombas and Good360 for helping our patients on their recovery journey.
