Ross Donation Makes Seton Center A One Stop Shop For The Needy

DONATION: ROSS STORES INC. CLOTHING

LIVES IMPACTED: 20

Seton Center is a Catholic-sponsored human services agency that helps people break the cycle of poverty in Kansas City, MO. Seton Center provides dental, social, and educational programs to address current community needs and tools to help support people in transforming their lives. Initially founded to address the food, clothing, and housing needs of the elderly and poor, Seton Center has adapted through the years to meet the broader needs of the neighbors it serves.

Our services address the most basic needs necessary for survival. That’s why the donation of Ross Stores Inc. men’s clothing that we received was perfect for those we serve. The donation was used to provide clothing to the needy. Offering a one-stop center for services makes things a lot easier for these individuals. It eliminates the need to find transportation from location to location, avoids having to repeatedly provide personal information and allows us to establish connections that create continuity and trust. The men who received the clothing were grateful to have clothes that fit. They were excited to look presentable so they could seek employment and have clothes to wear to work.

A man named George came to Seton Center in despair after losing his job. At first he needed food, but then learned that we could provide him with clothes and help him find a job through our employment counseling. George is still looking for employment; however, he is hopeful that he will find a job and no longer need our services now that he has a few new clothing items to help him out! Pictured above, you can see him selecting clothes for a job interview! Thank you to Ross and Good360 for all that you do.
