Ross Donation Completes Accessory Sets for Cancer Patients

DONATION: ROSS SCARVES AND JEWELRY

LIVES IMPACTED: 100

The team at Chemocessories, in Redondo Beach, CA, aims to help women with cancer hold onto their strength and sense of themselves during treatment. We create personalized sets of accessories, including jewelry, scarves, and turbans that are designed to lift spirits and remind each woman that treatment in no way diminishes the beautiful woman within. Through these donations, Chemocessories hopes to help lift spirits, boost confidence, and help provide a smile.

We used the donation of Ross accessories to complete our “sets” that we send out to women who are going through chemotherapy treatments. These women have lost their hair because of their cancer diagnosis. Each woman was happy to receive a scarf, a turban, and a jewelry set. We receive over 200 requests for our sets monthly and frequently run out of inventory so this donation was great for meeting the needs of our community. Each time a woman receives one of our sets it helps to brighten their day.

The women were elated to receive the sets. One woman said, “Thank you for the opportunity to receive something that will help me feel beautiful!” Another said, “I am a mom of 5 with breast cancer. I wear hoodies, sweats, and jeans. This is all new to me. I’m scared and can’t image what the next year of my life will be like. Thank you for this.” Pictured above are some of the sets we put together thanks to this Ross donation. Thank you for everything!
