Printer Donation Helps Community Members Showcase their Mediation Process

As Told to Good360 by Conflict Resolution Services, Inc.

Conflict Resolution Services, Inc located in Traverse City, MI, strives to facilitate the resolution of disputes in our community. As we provide information and resources through our community, having a printer is a huge plus! This donation of the Office Jet Printer, aside from our computers, is one of our most important pieces of equipment. We print out paperwork for our volunteer mediators who are required to fill out and return completed mediation forms as part of our process.

Thank to this donation, it allows us to provide the best services possible to our clients. Without this donation, we would have had to purchase a new printer which simply wasn’t budgeted since we recently purchased one. The combination of printer and scanner allows us to get important information to individuals and court systems after mediation. We can also provide information to interested individuals during events and conferences.  If the parties are able to resolve their issues through the mediation or facilitation process, they tend to stick to those agreements more so than if the court simply orders something without spending any significant time with the parties. The process of mediation empowers our clients by giving them a voice in their disputes and the tools and resources they need to come to solutions whether the outcome is in their favor or not. The process saves our clients time, money, unhappiness with a courtordered decision, and the ability to reach agreements that work for them. Thank you Good360 for helping make our clients lives a little easier.
