Needy Families Save a Bundle With Party City Donation

The mission of The Homes for Children Corporation (HFCC) is to provide hope and healing to troubled youth in Fort Worth, TX. We aim to guide these at-risk, abused, or neglected children on the path to becoming independent, productive adults.

HFCC received a large donation of Party City costumes through Good360 and we were able to distribute them to hundreds of young people in a variety of ways. We sponsored a costume giveaway for foster youth in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Over 250 costumes were distributed to these young people and their families. Each child was able to choose up to two costumes to take home for dress up or Halloween. Many of these children did not have any costumes on hand so being able to take home two was truly a blessing!

We also partnered with the Dalworth Recreational Center at their Night Out Against Crime event. We were able to supply 125 children with costumes at this event. 175 costumes were distributed at the Sunset Baptist Church Fall Festival, benefiting youth in the Grand Prairie community. On Halloween night, HFCC set up a table at the Freedom Church Freedom Fest where over 275 costumes were given to the youth and their families in Bedford, Texas. As you can see, this donation has reached all ends of our community. It has been amazing seeing just how many lives these costumes have impacted.

Many of the children we serve are foster youth and low-income families. Buying costumes can become very expensive, even for one child. One woman said, “Oh my, are you serious? You are giving these costumes away for free? Thank you! I just didn’t know how I could afford five costumes for my kids. God bless you!”

The children were also so excited to receive the costumes! The thought and excitement of just trying them on gave them so much life and the look on each child’s face after they put their costumes on was priceless. Parents thanked us for blessing their children with such a wonderful donation. A mother told us, “Thank you so much for making my girls so happy. They said this was the best Halloween ever.” Without Good360 and Party City, hundreds of children would not have been able to trick or treat or attend fall festivals while wearing a costume. Thank you so much for your generosity!
