Ministry Surprises Families and Students Making for a Great Memory

Dedicated Believers Ministries, located in Burton, MI, is a multicultural, nondenominational church that provides the tools necessary to help others in the community. The name “dedicated” was chosen because it is to be reflective of the type of congregation that we aspire to be. Our focus is to give and provide for the needs of struggling families, especially children. With the water crisis ongoing in the Flint area, the goods needed for recovery ranged from personal hygiene items to household goods, and more.

We officially had the “Blessing Flint Community School Students (& Families)” giveaway event on April 29, 2018 to benefit the people in our community. Through this event, with help from Good360 and various donor corporations and partners, we brought some happiness to those struggling families! Dealing with the city’s exposure to lead in its water system and problems associated with bad water (e.g. health issues, personal hygiene concerns, and improved overall basic needs), your generous product donations benefited many older residents, as well as young children, and single-parent-led households.

One example that comes to mind is the single mother facing health challenges who had been providing for her four daughters while struggling to provide for their basic needs.  When tragedy hit, she was forced to make tough decisions, and new shoes always fell off the list. The look on her children’s faces when they received their new tennis shoes was something that still brings a smile to our face. Thank you, Good360, and everyone involved who helped establish a great memory for her children during a difficult time in their lives.
