Mini Fridge Donation Is Used in a Variety of Ways!

DONATION: ESPN MINI FRIDGES

LIVES IMPACTED: 200+

The Human Resources Agency of New Britain, Inc. in Connecticut is a multi-service nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing economic self-sufficiency among individuals and families residing in greater New Britain. HRA’s five program divisions house its wide variety of services such as job training, housing assistance, healthcare, and more.

HRA of New Britain was fortunate enough to receive a donation from ESPN of eight compact refrigerators through Good360. The donation was handled very well by both Good360 and ESPN. Pickup was seamless and quick. ESPN is just a few miles from our HRA office. All of the refrigerators were in good working order. The refrigerators were great because they are larger than your standard dorm size refrigerator.

HRA serves many people through our different departments and offices. We were able to distribute the refrigerators where they were most needed in our community. The HRA Youth Center and the HRA Oak Street office each took one to handle the overflow of food during their Summer Meals Program. Both are distribution sites and provide meals to more than 100 families. We also gave one to the HRA Food and Resource Center to provide them with additional refrigeration space for the food pantry. We placed two more refrigerators in our Health and Wellness Centers where they operate a mini food pantry for clients. The remaining three refrigerators were given to low income families who could not afford a fridge on their own. This was a valuable donation for us and served us well. Thank you for everything!
