The mission of Kaity’s Way is to advocate for healthy teen relationships by providing education, skills and tools to youth and their allies. Our inclusive method addresses unhealthy relationships vs. healthy relationships and empowers everyone to be a solution to the problem and help break the cycle of violence.

Ric and Bobbi Sudberry, the co-founders of Kaity’s Way, founded the organization after the murder of their daughter, Kaitlyn Marie Sudberry, at the age of 17. Kaity’s death is their inspiration for actively doing their part in breaking the cycle of abuse in teenage dating relationships. This tragic event brought many realizations to the Sudberrys, such as the prevalence of teen dating violence.  They found that they were not as alone as they thought, they have the opportunity and ability to make a difference in the lives of others. Kaity’s story brings to light the warning signs of Teen Dating Violence (TDV) and what lessons can be learned to prevent such a tragedy for others.

Good360 provided us with two laptops from Assurant, Inc., as part of their Assurant Cares: Tech for Good program and our interns use these computers to make sure we are able to meet the demand for our services.  With the laptops, things are running much more smoothly, and productivity has increased exponentially.  Our interns and volunteers are now able to work both independently and as a team, and with much less frustration.

Thank you to Good360 and Assurant Inc. for helping us make a bigger impact through the use of technology.
