28 Jul Homeless Children Find Comfort At Aviva House
DONATION: SEQUIN JEWELRY, CABOODLES TRAIN CASES, BURT’S BEES TOWELETTES, AND STAMPIN’ UP CARD KITS
LIVES IMPACTED: 100+
Girl Scout Troop 2886 has adopted an organization called Aviva House in Los Angeles, CA. Aviva House is a shelter for homeless girls aged 8-18. The girls at the home are often runaways, those who have fled from abusive homes, or those who have been rescued from human trafficking. As Girls Scouts, we hold bake sales, sell Girl Scout cookies, and collect various items throughout the year such as toiletries, bedding, toys, jewelry, and clothing. These items and some of the funds are donated to the Aviva House twice a year.
Through Good360, we have been able to obtain more items than ever to get highly needed items into the hands of girls at the Aviva House. We put together kits for some of the girls. We filled a Caboodles train case with tons of items they would love like Sequin jewelry and Burt’s Bees towelettes. These kits were loved by all who received them! We put these packages together often so we are always in great need of products like these. We also used the Stampin’ Up Card Kits and other craft supplies from Good360 to make greeting cards to display in the lobby of the home. We wanted to allow the girls to have access to a variety of cards so they could pick one out and give a friend a card for any occasion.
Thank you, Good360, for your great organization and to all the donors for their donations. We are so grateful for all that you provide! We appreciate all that you have done and hope to get many more items from you in the future!
