Foster Children Receive Donated Athletic Apparel in New Backpacks to Provide Hope, Love and Dignity During a Difficult Time

Hope Pkgs fills a need many kids have when entering a foster home.  A foster family never knows if children will have anything except the clothes on their backs.  Hope Pkgs strives to eliminate the infamous trash bags some kids arrive with and replace them with new backpacks filled with items such as socks, underwear, pajamas and toiletries.

We know how wonderful it is to have kids arrive with a bag of their own belongings.  This bag and its contents are for the children to keep, and this gesture helps provides a sense of pride because they have something that’s theirs . . . something they are not sharing with other children in the home . . . something new rather than hand-me-downs.

The donation of brand-name athletic apparel from Good360 helps the kids with their first night in foster care. Because this change in their lives can be very traumatic, we provide some hope, dignity and love by giving them these new, highly needed items.
