The Breast Cancer Charities of America (BCCA) exists to eliminate breast cancer as a life-threatening illness. Our central focus is on educating, empowering and encouraging all women to become pro-active in preventing breast cancer and, if diagnosed, in surviving breast cancer.

BCCA’s amazing Feeling Beautiful Again program serves women across the nation who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. Through the program, we provide women with a beauty basket of HOPE! Included are items that make women FEEL like women again.  Think of how a just simple touch of lip gloss makes you feel pretty, or how a bit of blush would help the brighten the day just a little bit for cancer patient.

We recently included Burt’s Bees Lip Shimmers from Good360 in our Feeling Beautiful Again bags and they were a popular gift that our cancer patients loved.  One recipient stated, “Thank you for my Feeling Beautiful Again kit! It brought a smile to my face and I haven’t smiled since before the 20th when my mom passed away. Cancer has done so much damage to my family and body. This gift was such an awesome surprise!”

After losing a breast to cancer, countless women have shared that the experience is equivalent to losing your femininity and sexuality all at once, leaving patients to deal with issues of body image and self-esteem. Accepting a post-cancer body is often very difficult. But simple sensitive acts of care and kindness can help. This is the focus of The Breast Cancer Charities Feeling Beautiful Again Project. One recipient of the bag said, ” It reminded me that I do matter and I feel very grateful.” The donation of Burt’s Bees Lip Shimmers will help hundreds of women increase their confidence, have a feeling of normalcy and beauty, and regain their femininity.
