As Told to Good360 by Positive Transition Services Inc.

Positive Transition Services Inc., located in Red Oak, GA, supports, advocates and connects those in need with supportive services that increase self-sufficiency and lifelong sustainability. We provide an array of comprehensive, holistic services to disabled veterans, individuals with mental and/or behavioral challenges, physical disabilities, chronic homelessness and those returning from incarceration. We have been a part of the Walmart donation program since October 2018 and currently have two stores. Thanks to this program we have been able to provide household items, toys and clothes, which are all highly beneficial to those in need.

The staff at our store is both pleasant and peaceful, which make our pickups easy to manage. We recently invested in a truck, which comes with a weekly fee for rental and fuel, but it helps us with distribution. Although the fees are an extra expense, the gratitude and impact that we see exceeds all doubt. During Christmas 2018, we were able to donate tons of toys and new clothing to homeless families who couldn’t give their children a well-deserved Christmas full of glee. Many of the families shared tears of joy and thankfulness for the donations we provided as result of this AWESOME program, which is extremely valuable to our organization. It allows us to make generous donations to so many individuals, families and veterans in desperate need or transitioning out of homelessness.  Thank you to Good360 and Walmart for helping us change lives for the better.
