Donation Helps Homeless Youth in WI

Organization: GPS Educational Partners
Lives Impacted: 150

GPS Educational Partners, located in Waukesha, WI, is a community-based nonprofit and the only manufacturing-specific statewide Department of Workforce Development Youth Apprenticeship Program in Wisconsin. Our community-based education model sets us apart and is the catalyst for building strategic partnerships with education, business and community entities. Our partnerships enable us to accelerate student preparation in technical careers through powerful, credentialed work-based learning solutions. We are an innovative education model that uniquely prepares students to succeed in technical careers and promotes viability of business.

Outside of these programs, our students are regular teenagers with needs for personal care items. When our 9th grade students received these high-end beauty products in our STEM Career Awareness Program, they were so excited. Many of the students in our programs are homeless and without parental supervision. Any donation of personal items benefits our homeless students because they do not know when they will get their next item.  Any “little bit of good” helps them to stay focused on the goal of learning about and participating in STEM activities. One of the girls in our group mentioned that donations like these “remind her that people care and that they want these kids to have a chance in their lives and community. Thank you Good360 for helping us provide the necessary tools for these bright children in our community!
