Donation Helps Church Give Back to Children During Times of Need

Organization: Lives Impacted: 80

As Told to Good360 by Celestial Church of Christ

Celestial Church of Christ Divine Parish is a spiritual, world-wide, united church established in 1947.  We are well known among parishes and dioceses all over the world, and our mission is to be a pillar of hope, building stable foundations, distributing household items to the needy, educating the youth, running a clothing bank for our community, and uplifting families and communities through advocacy, education, and collaboration.

Thanks to donations like these, we can continue to advance our mission. Through our programs at our community center we have seen many lives changed for the better. We are here to provide a hand up to those who are doing all they can to survive. While we cannot prevent financial difficulties from occurring, together we can provide a beacon of hope. These comfortable household items are great to have on hold in our centers for when the need arises, because people are always in need of personal items.

With this donation we provided apparel to children living in poverty who were wearing worn and outdated clothes. Some of the children admit to losing their self confidence in school when they are dressed differently than other kids in their class. We notice the lost enthusiasm for school and a lack of healthy social interaction when they have old or outgrown clothing. We lend dignity to families in need by providing quality used clothing and household items in a clean, caring environment. We also received enough toys to start a birthday toy bank to provide gifts for children’s birthdays and other special occasions when our clients cannot afford to buy them for their children. Thank you Good360 for helping us provide hope and confidence to the children of our communities.
