Global Empowerment Mission (GEM) is a Good360 nonprofit partner that has been getting needed products to Ukrainian refugees since February 2022. Through their operations, GEM has distributed essential items to over 100 cities within and outside Ukraine, including Warsaw, Poland. In Warsaw, GEM partnered with an office building to give fleeing mothers and children of military families a safe place to stay. Thanks to a donation made by Good360 corporate partner Hasbro, GEM provided children with new toys to help replace the ones they lost when they fled.

Majel Wilson, Executive Assistant to President at GEM, is currently residing in Poland to coordinate refugee distribution operations. On the day of the Hasbro distribution, Majel had the opportunity to attend the site and document her experience. Majel describes that the kids “went absolutely crazy” when she dropped off the donations, and their reaction highlights how impactful the contribution was to the community. The various games, books, and toys Majel gave the children provided much-needed emotional comfort for the children.

Hasbro’s commitment to helping Good360 provide long-term disaster recovery brought joy to families during a challenging time.
