25 Jan Desk Donation Helps Mend Family in North Carolina
Organization: Bethel Worship Center Inc.
Lives Impacted: 3
Bethel Worship Center Inc., located in Charlotte, North Carolina was founded in 2003 by Pastor Christopher Cookhorne. Since then, Bethel has been instrumental in serving the homeless and indigent from the streets of Charlotte to the multiplied thousands around the world. Pastor Cookhorne serves as the senior pastor and travels both nationally and internationally to share his passion and develop relationships with those in need. Through his guidance and teachings, Pastor Cookhorne hopes to help the homeless with love and grace, and to provide a better life for those hurting and in need of life-sustaining emergency relief. Through our teachings, we also try to help families and individuals get back on their feet with our donations from anything including personal care items to household furniture. Thanks to this donation from Ann Inc, we were able to help a family start over.
This story was a great reminder to stay true to the work that we do, and remain thankful for our personal blessings. Their was a family with two daughters who recently moved out of the shelter into their new apartment had been struggling for months to make ends meet. Finally, the parent found a stable job and was able to provide for the children and stand their own. When they received the desk drawer that was given to them, they were so grateful that all they could do was smile. Since they didn’t have much furniture when they moved in, this was a great addition to their new apartment. The daughters now have a place to do their homework and the family can use the desk to pay bills, prepare for work or just relax. Our organization, along with others, came alongside to help this family get some needed furnishings that ended up being a huge solution for a family in need. Thank you Good360 for helping us spread kindness to those in our community!
