As Told to Good360 by Silly Sock Saturdays Corporation

Silly Sock Saturdays Corporation, located in Winter Haven, FL helps kids in hospitals by bringing happiness to them in the form of silly socks and other comfort items such as toys, coloring books and crayons, all delivered with a smile.  Our mission is to help children going through a scary time in their lives feel a little better. We make monthly deliveries that help the kids by distracting them from what’s going on in the hospital.

Thanks to Crayola, we were able to bring these crayons to the children in the hospital to give them something to keep their minds off of what they are going through. With all the different color options, they were occupied with which color to choose and what picture to draw! Through this program we not only help the children in need, but it also helps those in the community who volunteer for something bigger than themselves. For example, we had a local teenager who participated in the program to make a positive impact on the community and inspire other kids to also try to make a difference. The children and families are very grateful, and the nurses and staff appreciate everything that Silly Sock Saturdays is able to do. They all have special stories about the reactions of different patients. Thank you, Crayola and Good360 for bringing some color to the lives of these children.
