Colgate-Palmolive Donations Ensures People Can Stay Healthy During Public Health Crisis

In an effort to provide personal care items to people in need during this critical time, Colgate-Palmolive committed to donating $20 million in health and hygiene products to nonprofit organizations including Good360. 

Thanks to Good360’s vast network of nonprofit partners, more than 400,000 Colgate-Palmolive products including soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, body wash, shampoo, and other personal care items were distributed in local communities. 

Below are a couple of stories from the nonprofits that received these goods, and how the people they serve were positively impacted by Colgate-Palmolive donations:  

  • JC Inspires Foundation, Inc. based in Homestead, Fl, strives to help make a difference in the lives of veterans and their families as well as children in the most vulnerable communities in South Florida and the Caribbean. The organization created the JC CARES: COVID-19 Community Prevention Care Package initiative, which provides essential items to the people they serve. Care packages include products donated by Good360 and Colgate-Palmolive, such as soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and wipes. This donation will not only help these families maintain their health, but it will also prevent and ease the spread of COVID-19 to those around them. 
  • Greater Lighthouse Community Outreach Inc. hosted a back to school drive-up event at the beginning of August. More than 3,000 full backpacks were distributed to the economically disadvantaged in Bakersfield, CA, Thanks to the donation from Colgate-Palmolive, the backpacks included highly needed items like deodorant, toothbrushes, and toothpaste, providing relief to students and their families.

Shari Rudolph is Chief Marketing Officer of Good360 and is an accomplished retail, digital commerce and media executive with a strong track record of building audience, revenue and brands. Shari’s previous experience includes management consulting as well as various executive and leadership roles at both start-ups and large media and retail e-commerce companies in Southern California, New York and Silicon Valley. She is also an adjunct professor teaching classes in marketing, advertising and entrepreneurial studies and she earned her MBA from The Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA.
