As Told to Good360 by IAAM
IAAM, (International Association of Academic Methods) located in Orlando, FL, prides itself on standing strong to lend a hand, working together to fight against hunger and helping those in need. Through multiple programs and resources, we give back to multiple residents in the community through tough financial times who need items for interviews and other events with a required dress code. We help the women in our community who are looking for better opportunities to dress for success.
Thanks to this professional clothing donation we assist young woman to meet their full potential. There’s just something about the right clothes that simply engages the mind to think higher, thus enabling an individual (especially if they’re depressed) to do better. It must first start with the mind. With the wonderful donations from Good360, it helps us to do just that for our clients. By granting them a prestigious look, they think, feel and act better, in essence, they strive for more.
A single mother who was depressed went through a devastating circumstance. Her fiancé just had a stroke and is now partially paralyzed with no health insurance, so all the money goes to medical bills. On youth day, she received five sets of clothing (one for each day of the week). The gratitude from her touched everyone. The giver became the receiver.
Another recipient was a homeless woman with two beautiful young daughters. She works on call but can only afford the cost of food and daily shelter. Although they are making ends meet, her daughters don’t complain because they understand that their mother is trying to do the best she can financially. When the family was granted three sets of clothing each, they knew this was an opportunity for a job interview. They were so thankful for these items and the mother said, “These sets of clothing are perfect for job interviews, I finally feel hopeful for the future.” This is what clothing can do. Thank you, Good360 for helping us change the lives of these women and help them better their lives as well!
