Clothing Donation Helps Students Gain Confidence for School

Organization: Hangers
Lives Impacted: 200+

As Told to Good360 by Hangers

Hangers, located in Evansville, Indiana, is a clothing resource committed to serving students in need by providing them with everyday living essentials that they can’t afford. By providing clothing, school supplies, and hygiene products, we strive to improve the self-esteem and confidence of each student served, and in turn, ensure greater student success and fulfillment. Students can visit Hangers once during the school year and select from school-appropriate clothing, uniforms, shoes, coats, underwear, socks and hygiene products.

Thanks to this clothing donation from Ross Dress for Less, students in need have the opportunity to select their clothes and be prepared for the school year. Donations received from the community are added to the donated items from our partners to ensure all children receive an item.

Children are born into poverty every day and it is an unfortunate circumstance that students cannot control. When their families cannot afford to buy them school clothes, this leads to inadequate clothing, such as jeans that are too big or shirts with tears in them. Students should not have to carry the burden of worrying about what they are going to wear to school.

Thank you, Ross and Good360, for helping us provide a fresh start to children in need.
