As Told to Good360 by Rev Thomas Cletus from United Church of Praise International Ministries, Inc.

United Church of Praise International Ministries, Inc., located in Staten Island, NY, commits itself to welcoming all persons, celebrating the diversity found from different backgrounds including race, economic class, religion, culture, ethnicity, gender, age and physical/mental abilities.  We are an interdenominational, interracial and international congregation that strives to show love to individuals and families by offering educational assistance, tutoring assistance to kids PreK-12 and homework help. Our mission is to serve our community through word and treat all human beings as sisters and brothers.

Thanks to Good360’s corporate donor, this donation was used to help the single mothers and low-income families provide brand new toys to children. Many of the families living in this area could not afford to provide all their children with toys, let alone top brand toys. Many of the children that come into our church would share the toys with their siblings because they could not afford to have their own. One family came to our organization and the mother was battling health issues. The two kids living with their sick parents spend most of their money on medical bills, food and clothing. Unfortunately, toys are a luxury and not a priority. Yet through the donations from Good360, these kids were able to receive these gifts during our distribution, and could choose any toy they wanted to take home. Thank you Good360 for helping ease the pain these children experience if only for a day.
