Brooklinen Brings Hope After A Devastating Fire

DONATION: BROOKLINEN BEDDING

LIVES IMPACTED: 286

At Fort Schuyler Presbyterian Church, our mission is to help those in need while offering support in many different ways. Our mission is to spread spiritual growth throughout the Bronx, NY area through God’s love and to respond to a world in need. While partnering with Good360, our ability to assist has greatly increased.

We recently received a donation from Brooklinen consisting of quality sheets, pillows, and comforters. We placed these in needy hands during two unfortunate residential fires in late December and early January. These fires devastated a community and families lost everything. We were able to supply a total of 225 individuals with much needed linens during a traumatic event in their lives. While we could not take their grief away, the Brooklinen donations helped to comfort them and start over with a comfortable place to sleep.

We also distributed some of these linens to seniors in an assisted living home just a few weeks ago. The temperature was a bit chilly, but the smiles on their faces warmed our hearts. These seniors were so excited to receive some new bedding. They are not often treated to something new, so this was huge for them. Sixty-one seniors were able to receive linens. One of the seniors told us, “Thank you very much! I would never have been able to afford new bedding. I really needed this and I’m going to sleep well tonight.” We thank Good360 and Brooklinen for making this possible.
