15 Jun Bringing Joy to Those affected by Hurricane Maria with Personalized Totes
Lives Impacted: 5,000
Donation: Keen Totes
Jake’s Diapers is a nonprofit diaper bank ministry in Kaukauna, WI impacting the lives of over 3,000 babies in 16 countries. Since April 2013, we have been providing the basic need of cloth diapers to less fortunate families who live in extreme poverty. We typically work with orphanages, ministry partners, and partner agencies, but due to the hurricane season we decided to reach out to those in need in Texas, New Orleans and Puerto Rico.
With all the hurricanes that happened last year, we were so grateful to receive the donation of KEEN totes which included diapers and wipes. This was such a huge blessing because many families were forced to choose between food & diapers since diapers are seen as luxury items. The totes, a critical component of our diaper kit, helped assist so many of the families living below the poverty line in these impacted regions.
Hearing stories like Loraine’s, a loving mom of two with a baby on the way in Puerto Rico who was left poverty-stricken after Hurricane Maria, encouraged us to reach out to more hurricane survivors. She was devastated when the Hurricane hit, because she had just given birth during the devastation and mentioned that “It was really scary time due to the uncertainty of it all, and not being able to provide for her kids worried her immensely”. Like Loraine, many families are fighting to make it through one day at a time, but thanks to donations like these, they have one less thing to worry about. Thank you Good360 and KEEN totes for helping us continue to live out our mission!
