Breast Cancer Survivors Are Reminded of Their Beauty During Distribution Event

Organization: United Breast Cancer Foundation
Lives Impacted: 50+

As told to Good360 by United Breast Cancer Foundation

United Breast Cancer Foundation, headquartered in Huntington Station, NY, is a national nonprofit that began as a small grassroots organization serving low-income, under and non-insured women and men in New York State. We currently serve women, men and their families across the country offering breast health and wellness services focused on cancer prevention, screening, treatment and overall wellness. UBCF is committed to helping those in need of breast health services with education, treatments and connection.

During one of our distribution events, we included high-quality beauty products to offer to women who find themselves losing their self-confidence. These beauty products are a great pick-me-up formulated with only clean, skin-loving ingredients that are carefully selected so there is no worry about any potentially harmful ingredients. Breast cancer patients and survivors have put their bodies through difficult fights and UBCF is proud to provide them with the safe, high quality products from  this high-end line.

One quote that resonates with our mission is by Tracee Ellis Ross, she says “I need to see my own beauty and to continue to be reminded that I am enough, that I am worthy of love without effort, that I am beautiful [and] the feelings that I have are all worthy and okay.” This quote strikes a chord with us at United Breast Cancer Foundation, as we’ve heard from many of our clients say it’s been so long since they felt beautiful and worthy of being pampered.

After receiving Pink Bags filled with beauty products, clothes, and various other items, one of the recipients Christina shared “After 6 years, this is the first time I have accepted anything for myself. Thank you for reminding me that I deserve to receive a gift, that I am worthy. I feel so loved and pampered today!” Christina’s feelings are echoed by many other clients we have gifted beauty products to. To know we are helping women feel better about themselves again is a beautiful thing. Thank you again Good360  for helping us with these donations – you helped these ladies feel truly cared for and beautiful!
