20 Jan Bed Bath & Beyond Receives Circle of Good Award
Good360 and Bed Bath & Beyond have partnered for a number of years, distributing hundreds of millions of dollars of goods to nonprofits serving people in need. On January 5, 2017, Richard Barney, EVP of Corporate Partnership Development at Good360 presented the 2016 Circle of Good Award for Outstanding Philanthropic Innovation to Derek Dervish at Bed Bath & Beyond’s headquarters in Union, New Jersey. Derek is the Director of Asset Management at Bed Bath & Beyond Inc., and is a founding partner of the Good360 Retail Donation Partnership (RDP) program. This synergistic program matches Bed Bath & Beyond brand stores with local nonprofit organizations who receive returned and excess product donations from retail outlets.
Derek and his team facilitate product donations from more than 1100 stores nationwide. “In 2016, over 700 non-profit organizations were the beneficiaries of Bed Bath & Beyond’s generosity,” says Janet Thompson, Sr. Director of Corporate Initiatives at Good360. “These charities represent the entire spectrum of service missions, including homeless shelters and food pantries, medical and health groups, and youth and veteran services.”
Bed Bath & Beyond has been at the forefront of product donation for over 16 years. Their dedication to philanthropy exceeds the industry standard for all Corporate Social Responsibility. On behalf of our entire nonprofit member network, Good360 thanks Derek Dervish and Bed Bath & Beyond for their ongoing dedication to innovative and thoughtful giving.
