Washington Nationals Team Gives Back to Local Community with Clothing Donation

Organization: KEYS for the Homeless Foundation, Inc
Lives Impacted:  25+
Donors: Washington Nationals
Website: http://www.keysforthehomeless.org

KEYS for the Homeless is a foundation that provides needed goods at no cost to those living in poverty in the Greater Washington, DC metro area. We gather no-longer-needed goods and supplies from hotels, restaurants and other businesses. Through the generosity of contributors, the dedicated work of our volunteers and our partnerships, we continue to spread good through our mission. Founded in 1998, the inspiration for KEYS for the Homeless Foundation, Inc. emerged from a recognition of the powerful influence the hospitality industry and other concerned businesses have in supporting homeless services in our nation’s capital.

Throughout the year, we have grown in our appreciation for our Good360 membership and appreciate the benefits of working together towards creating a greater good in our communities.  Thanks to Good360, we were able to provide baseball jerseys throughout the community during three different summer events. The items were a ‘hit’ during the 801 East Housing BBQ, children’s programs of So Others Might Eat and New York Avenue Community Day.

We were delighted to receive the truckload of Washington Nationals gear to distribute during several community events and look forward to the next year. Thank you for being as dedicated as we are to being “in the field” and caring for the needs in our communities. Huge thanks to the Washington Nationals for sharing your many gifts with KEYS!
