Athletic Donations Help Children Gain Confidence

As Told to Good360 by Derby City Ravens

The Derby City Ravens, located in Louisville, KY, is a nonprofit organization focused on breaking barriers for kids in difficult social-economic situations facing depression.  We are national youth sports program with an educational focus offering scholarships to kids in need.  We aim to help change the lives and create opportunities for these kids since many of them do not have the luxury to act like kids. Providing them with these opportunities helps them understand that there is hope outside of their community.

Thanks to this donation of athletic clothing from Good360, we were able to use this apparel over the course of three seasons. These items are crucial to our program because it gives the athletes the confidence to play their best, setting a standard for other programs and reminding them they are important. There were so many children who benefited from this grant and sponsorship from various other companies, but for one family there was a tremendous impact. This family had recently relocated to Louisville, Kentucky from Chicago, Illinois and had little to nothing in personal belongings. With the leftover items we had after the season, we were able to find some items for the whole family. Thank you Good360 for helping us to continue our mission in our community.
